Cornbread Dressing
You can make your own / cornbread from scratch or just use jiffy
- 6 boxes of 8.5oz of jiffy corn muffin mix [follow cooking instructions]
- 1 stick of [melted] butter
- ¾ pack of chopped celery
- 2 stalks of chopped green onions
- 6 beaten eggs
- 2 boxes of chicken stock or as I do make my own with our regular seasoning.
I make it with just hot water and little butter,1 tbsp spicy seasoning and start with 4 tbsp of taste of Juanita’s regular seasoning. Using whisk and tasting as you go.
Just add to taste. Just taste it as you add our seasoning to the water. Use whisk and taste as you add just that easy!
Mix the above ingredients together well, then place in casserole pan.
Before placing it into the oven if it’s too thick for you all you need to do is add milk
If you would like it thinner. Cook at 350 deg. For 45 to 60 minutes uncovered.
